The new tipper body was launched during the trade fair Excon 2022 held in Bengaluru. It is a simple yet effective bolted assembly of all the key elements of a tipper body. All the elements of the body can be bolted easily at the customer’s site within 8-10 hours. The bolted tipper also allows for optimising the logistics cost as the semi-knocked downs (SKDs) for six bolted tippers can be shipped to customers’ sites on a trailer against one conventional tipper body. Further, the body is more durable as the elements are bolted together instead of being welded. Bolted tipper not only avoids the formation of ‘cracks’ often encountered in conventional welded bodies but also eliminates welding failures.
Moreover, in case of any damage or wear and tear, the damaged panel can simply be unbolted and replaced with a new one. This easy-to-replace feature allows for a shorter service time and thereby reduces breakdown days. “The concept of bolted tipper body was developed to meet the challenges of a constantly demanding tipper segment in India.
