Galaxy Bearings sees huge export market potential

Started In 1990, Galaxy Bearings Ltd. has emerged one of the most prominent and globally recognised bearing makers in India. Nearly three-fourth of the company’s revenues comes from exports, indicating its uncompromising focus on quality, reliability and customer service. The home-grown firm made its second appearance at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover last year, with the target of adding more customers in the European region and also showcasing its credentials to the global CV audience.

Says Mr. Nitin Santoki, CEO, Galaxy Bearings Ltd.: “This is the second time we are participating in IAA and we want to target new OEM customers. There is tremendous opportunity in the export market and we are trying to take advantage of it. Almost 75 per cent of our business comes from exports, mainly to truck and trailer axle makers in Europe, South America and the Middle East. We also have the advantage of being able to supply to global markets through global OEMs present in India.”

Headquartered at Rajkot, where it has a state-of-the-art facility, Galaxy Bearings specializes in the design and production of taper roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and wheel hub bearings for a wide range of applications. “We manufacture taper roller bearings for CVs and tractors and are appreciated by customers for our focused approach. We have a capacity to produce about three million bearings per annum, mainly for wheel and transmission applications, and supply to reputed brands in the market, including AEC, Escorts, TII India and Automotive Axles, apart from many others”, adds Mr. Santoki.
