Elaborating on their expectations from the show, Nitin Santoki, CEO, Galaxy Bearings, said: “Our focus is to expand our verticals through our existing customers’ diversification. As we find our clients investing in new business segments, we would want to partner with them and acquire a greater share in their businesses. Our customers also support us to come up to their expected level and this can be a win-win situation for both of us.”

Meanwhile, the company has been giving greater attention to new technologies and innovation to enhance its product offerings. “We are trying to further reduce the weight of our bearings and improve the mileage. For example, we used to give guarantee for 50,000 to 1,00,000 lakh km but now we are further improving the quality to go up to 1,20,000 km. We are improving our technology, particularly in the bearing lifecycle,” Santoki said. Electric mobility is also on the company’s target list. “We are all geared to support our customers who are looking for bearings to smoothly run in electric vehicles,” he added.

At the show, another group company, Amul Industries (P) Ltd., also showcased its products. It is a manufacturer of connecting rods, crankshafts and compressor components for automotive engines. Amul Industries has been performing quite well even during the current slowdown with a growth rate of 10% to 12% per annum. “We are trying to achieve a turnover of approximately Rs. 75 crores, similar to what we achieved during the last financial year. We believe that the introduction of stringent and strict legislation will benefit us as we are compliant with all the norms. This will help us increase our production capacities at a faster rate than those who are not so well-prepared,” Santoki said.
