Elofic is a very popular brand in the aftermarket, with its filters available in the most remote and undeveloped corners of the country. The company is planning to build on its strengths and expand the count of its aftermarket partners – stockists, dealers and distributors – to remain ahead of the pack in a highly-competitive market.

Talking about Elofic’s presence at Auto Expo, Mr. Pawan Sharma, Vice President – Marketing, Elofic Industries Ltd., said: “At this year’s Auto Expo we are presenting our new technology range of filters that includes cabin-air filters, air assemblies and fuel solution filters. We have also showcased our off-highway filters for industrial, construction and earth-moving applications which were launched at EXCON last year. As far as the Auto Expo is concerned, we have received some very good leads, the quality of visiting customers is excellent and the footfall is good too.”

Elofic entered the off-highway filters segment around 18 months back, and looking at its huge potential, plans to focus aggressively on the sector in the coming years. On the network front, the company is looking to reach 100 outlets exclusively for the off-highway segment by the end of FY17 and is targeting a 50 to 60 per cent rise in its overall network to further increase its reach and penetration in the aftermarket. In addition, Elofic plans to focus aggressively on two-wheeler filters and lubricants in the coming year.

While its strong network has been contributing to its success in the market, there are other factors as well which have enabled it to continue its dominance in the aftermarket, despite stiff competition from other brands. Mr. Sharma stated: “Quality, market penetration, availability and right price are what differentiate us from the other brands. These are the key factors responsible for the confidence our customers who are with us for many years have developed on the Elofic brand.”

Elofic expects to close FY16 at a strong growth rate of 15 per cent. With the CV segment reviving after a long slowdown, the company expects good volumes from the sector in the new fiscal while it also tips its new focus segments such as off-highway to give tremendous growth as the year progresses. Elofic has added around 7 to 8 new OEM customers in FY16 and hopes to strike three more OEM deals in the coming year.
