At FADA’s 10th Auto Summit 2018 held in New Delhi, Dr. Kailash Gupta, Chairman of Commercial Automobiles Private Ltd., has been felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award for his yeomen service to the automobile industry and trade. The Award was presented by Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India in the presence of an august gathering. The Auto Summit, organised in association with SIAM, was inaugurated by Mr. Venkaiah Naidu and witnessed over 1,000 participants under one roof.
Mr. Nikunj Sanghi, Chairman, Auto Summit 2018, played a major role in organising the event in a grand scale attracting the who’s who in the Indian auto sector.
Born on April 29, 1946, in a highly distinguished family of the late Shri Jai Narayan Gupta of Dehradun (U.P.), Dr. Kailash Gupta had his entire education in his hometown Dehradun. He has completed his M. Sc. in Physics from D.A.V. College (Meerut University).
He was awarded Doctorate by Jabalpur University for “A Probe into the Environmental Change with the Socio – Economic Development Due to Automobiles”.
Hailing from a family of automobile owners having a long experience of over 75 years, Dr. Gupta started his Tata Motors dealership in Jabalpur in 1970 and is today running two Tata Motors commercial vehicle dealerships at Jabalpur and Bilaspur, as also a passenger car dealership of Tata Motors in Jabalpur and two Tata Hitachi Excavator dealerships at Jabalpur and Indore.
Dr. Gupta is also the President of the Mahakoushal Automobile Dealers Association, Vishwa Hindu Parishad for Mahakoushal Prant, Vice-President of Federation of M.P. Chamber of Commerce & Industries, President of ISKCON – Jabalpur, and Trustee of Jai Narain Charitable Trust. He was the past President of FADA, and past District Governor of the Lions Club International.
Apart from various sports activities, Dr. Gupta’s pet game is badminton in which he has won various championships at college, district, university and State levels. He has also written several books such as ‘Business Growth through Employee Satisfaction’, ‘Fire Alarm’, ‘Arogyachintan’, ‘Mission Happiness’ and ‘Fight the Fraud’.
A strong disciple of Nivritman Shankaracharya – Padmabhushan Swami Satyamitranand Giriji, Dr. Gupta is Vice-President of Samanvaya Trust Haridwar.
