With the demand for high-quality rubber and suspension components in the Indian automotive industry reaching a new high, serial entrepreneur Sanjeev Bhasin and experienced automotive industry professional Benu Walia of Gurgaon have set up Dagna Distribution (P) Limited for operations in the automotive aftermarket space. The company is an automotive component manufacturer and distributor established with the mission of bringing to the Indian market world-class and OEM quality products. In its first phase, the company will offer a wide range of suspension products, namely, bushing kits for the complete range of cars on Indian roads including premium segment cars like Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Range Rover and Volvo, engine mountings, strut mountings and control arms for the premium segment. “We will soon introduce mechanical control cables, ball joints, tie rods, rack ends and links,” a company press release said. “The biggest advantage that Dagna Distribution offers is that it caters to both the normal and premium segments,” it added.

“Our core strength will be our quality with our motto being OE quality at affordable price for the aftermarket. To sustain our quality we have tied up with some of the OE suppliers from India as well as abroad and also have a team of experts to work constantly on developing an extensive product line for the aftermarket. The Indian aftermarket is changing quite drastically especially after the lockdown. We see this as a great opportunity for us as distributors because retailers have more time now and are also looking for alternatives to increase their businesses,” Bhasin said. “We are working on policies quite different from what others are offering in the market and these will be more channel partner-friendly, be it distributor, retailer or repair garages. In fact, garages will form a very important part of our network and will make for strong business partners,” Walia said. The company has already started a distributor appointment program covering all major cities with the first shipment dispatched on September 15. “Our target is to have a complete distribution network covering pan-India by this financial year-end,” Walia added.
