CII meet on Advanced Manufacturing in Automotive Sector

The Union Government is formulating a national policy for advanced manufacturing as one of the key tools to attain its objective of increasing the contribution of manufacturing output. Consideration is being given to the framework for introduction of ‘Industry 4.0’. There will be tremendous impetus towards modern manufacturing, including modern materials, modern manufacturing like advanced robotics and 3D printing, among others.

In line with this, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a competitiveness conference on “Advanced Manufacturing in Automotive Sector – Industry’s Preparedness for Industry 4.0” in New Delhi on March 2. It is important that companies become future ready through adoption of new technological solutions under this theme.

The conference would be of great interest and importance to the Indian automotive industry and would benefit the participants to develop and strengthen their own roadmap towards increased agility, improved predictability, leaner processes, maximum flexibility, enhanced productivity and consistent organizational growth.
