Busworld Mumbai kicks off with exciting launches and product showcases

busworld logoThe 6th edition of Busworld India kicked off on April 28th in Mumbai with some exciting new launches and product showcases. One of the most aggressive and reputed bus body builders in the country, the MG Group unveiled its first-ever intercity luxury coach ‘Mammoth’, built on an MAN front-engine chassis. The product, which is the first from the very-promising MG Group – MAN partnership, received overwhelming response from visitors at the show. Scania displayed its Green bus along with a 13.7 m version of its Metrolink intercity coach. The company’s ethanol engine was also on display. Another interesting exhibit was the premium low-floor city bus developed by leading bus body builder Veera Vahana. The product has been excellently engineered, fitted with high-end aggregates from class-leading brands and is all set to give good competition in the premium city bus segment. 

SML Isuzu and ACGL also displayed a range of buses at the show which has participation from nearly half a dozen bus air-conditioning manufacturers. Leading brands from other segments including Allison Transmission, Harita Seating, Gibraltar, Hübner, Lamilux, Michelin, Sutlej and Valeo, among others added a lot of variety to the event. The first day of the 3-day event witnessed very good response, with many leading bus operators, vehicle manufacturers and other stakeholders in the bus industry visiting the show.
