“Total Tyre Care – Identifying with your fleet“ – this is the umbrella under which Bridgestone’s IAA booth in 2016 is built. Bridgestone’s solutions offer fleet operators a better overview of the condition of the tyres in their vehicle pool. A special highlight is the system Tirematics™, which continuously delivers live-data on the condition of the tyres, also under the spotlight in a media round table on September 21st. In addition, Firestone Industrial Products, the world’s leading air spring manufacturer also exhibited its portfolio of products.
At Bridgestone, its motto is “Identifying with your fleet”. The company’s booth is all about these customized solutions, demonstrating how to apply Total Tyre Care, to serve the specific needs of each fleet. The various services and systems for fleets are structured into 3 interconnected programmes:
Monitor – revealing the actual tyre condition and performance
Maintain – getting the maximum value out of the tyres
Manage – making life easy for the fleet, reducing administrative burden, while giving full transparency.
Total Tyre Care is shown in practice through a comprehensive video display. Bridgestone gives live demonstrations of new systems like BASys (casing management), Toolbox (fleet auditing) and Total Tyre Manager (fleet reporting) and reveals further developments in the pipeline.
Alongside, the visitors can see Bridgestone Partner Service van, the flagship of Bridgestone’s new professional pan-European dealer network bringing superior quality in consultancy and services to fleets.
Another highlight is Tirematics™, Bridgestone’s innovative solutions on the area of connected tyres and pro-active tyre maintenance for commercial fleets. Today more than 60 major fleets are using its first Tirematics solution which continues to be developed.
As a notable tyre manufacturer, Firestone designed and patented the first air spring. At the IAA Commercial Vehicle show, Firestone Industrial Products showcases its innovative series of Firestone Air Damping products for trucks, trailers and driver cabins. With its new products, Firestone succeeds in integrating air spring and damper functionality into one single system. As a result, the total cost of ownership including wear of suspension related components and tyres can be reduced.
