EXCON 2022 Special

ARX Construction and Mining Equipment chose EXCON 2022 to launch motor graders – G3200 and G1000, and Blast Hole Drill Rig D3300 besides other machinery.

Amarnath says: “The large grader with its sheer size has attracted the most attention. Such machines are typically used in the Middle East and in big mining markets for haul road maintenance. This piece of machine improves the suspension life and tire life on large dumpers. This size of grader is run with a 240-ton dumper which are typically used in big mining projects. It will be for both the domestic coal mining market and for exports. Once we finish validation, we will be exporting to Indonesia, Chile, South Africa, and Australia.”

The flagship offering involves four graders with capacities of 32, 20, 15 and 10 tons with attachments that will cover the entire grading spectrum.

For the cargo handling machinery, the company has had close to Rs. 100 crores worth of orders over the last three years.

Export Market

He shares: “The large grader comes in two variants – one meant for emission-challenged countries such as Africa and in the Middle East, while the other is a high end one with stage five engine meant for emission-compliant countries.”

Use case scenarios for the motor graders are deicing and snow removals in areas such as airports, heavy earth works are needed.

He further says: “The output of this machine is five times that of a smaller grader machine. One of these graders can replace four or so of the smaller ones. It means fewer operators too.”

Advantage ARX

Amarnath lists out: “These machines have innovative slide systems and subtle rotation systems. Then, these also have heavy-duty telematics to offer geo-location, tracking and the regular key parameters. The best part is that this will have a huge number of transducers to give the fleet owner alerts with regards to any change in the pressure of every system remotely so that the factory can troubleshoot for him.”
Monitoring the health of the machine also happens with the brake-by-wire which uses a radar system on the rear of the machine for collision avoidance.

EXCON Highlight

Amarnath confides: “It is the ideal place to launch products and have major OEMs visit. It is a great platform where people can benchmark your product versus the other.”

And, what better stage to launch the machines for ARX other than EXCON 2022!
