“The Indian market and consumers have evolved over a period of time and are now ready for performance products. In the APAC region, primarily dominated by India and China, the specialty fuel additives market is predicted to reach over 750 kilo tons by 2023, growing at 7.1 per cent CAGR. The key trends driving the Indian additive market will be stricter environmental regulations which will increase demand. OEMs will look at additives to improve engine performance and efficiency; more particularly with the BS-VI segment. And thirdly, increased consumer awareness for performance products will increase its demand. We will work aggressively in creating a strong distribution network in key regions and extensively support our customers and partners with online and offline training modules.

– Nikhil Junnarkar, Regional Manager (India, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa), BCG
