Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), maker of BharatBenz trucks and buses and a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, today inaugurated its new authorised BharatBenz dealership, Agile Trucking, at Uluberia, Howrah, West Bengal. The new facility strengthens BharatBenz’s footprint in eastern India and reinforces its commitment to providing sales, service, and spares support in one of the country’s key freight and logistics hubs.

Strategically located on NH-16, a major national highway connecting Chennai and Kolkata and passing through Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, and Odisha, the dealership offers strong connectivity to industrial and transportation hubs across Howrah, East Medinipur, and West Medinipur, supporting fleet operators engaged in captive use, FMCG, courier, logistics, and regional freight movement across the region.
The dealership is a modern 16-bay 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility spanning 100,000 sq. ft., equipped with 12 service bays, 4 accident repair bays, and 3 Mobile Reach Vans for on-road assistance. Backed by a team of 50 trained personnel, it can service over 500 vehicles per month and will operate extended hours from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Mr. Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said the new dealership strengthens the company’s ability to deliver faster service, higher uptime, and reliable support across one of eastern India’s key logistics corridors, enhancing the BharatBenz ownership experience for fleet operators.

Mr. Vijayakumar K, CEO of Agile Trucking, said the new facility will help deliver faster, more dependable support to customers along NH-16 and nearby industrial hubs, with the 16-bay setup, trained team, and Mobile Reach Vans helping reduce downtime for fleet operators.
BharatBenz currently operates Parts Logistics Centres in Oragadam, Gurugram, and Pune, and plans to establish a dedicated centre for Eastern India to further improve delivery lead times and vehicle uptime.
Agile Trucking, part of the CKA Birla Group’s Integrated Mining & Manufacturing Solutions (IIMS), has been part of the BharatBenz network since July 2022. With the addition of the Howrah dealership, alongside its existing facilities in Bardhaman, Haldia, and Raniganj, Agile Trucking’s footprint now spans four locations across South Bengal, taking BharatBenz’s total touchpoints in West Bengal to 14.
As part of its customer-centric approach, BharatBenz offers an integrated vehicle lifecycle solution through ‘BharatBenz Certified’ and exchange programs, allowing customers to trade in BharatBenz and other commercial vehicle brands for new BharatBenz trucks. The company has also partnered with over 20 banks and NBFCs for financing solutions, and now operates more than 430 service workshops and touchpoints across India.
