Autopal MPG Group’s new e-rickshaw showroom inaugurated in Jaipur

Autolite (India) Ltd. of the Autopal MPG Group is serving the automobile industry for the last five decades with its products like automotive head lamps, halogen bulbs, LED lamp and other automotive parts. The leading Autopal brand has been regularly receiving Central and State-level Awards as well as from several trade associations.

Autolite is currently exporting its products to nearly 60 countries worldwide. Its products are the first choice of vehicle manufacturers like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Volvo – Eicher, SML Isuzu, Ashok Leyland, JCB, TAFE, Bajaj, etc. It has its large network of distributors and dealers all over India.

The company has started a new venture for producing electric vehicles. Already having dealers and distributors in northern India – in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, etc. – it is now working aggressively to establish a network of electric vehicle dealers throughout India. It is also planning to set up an assembly plant in South / Eastern India.

Mr. Adarsh Mahipal Gupta, Director, Autolite (India) Ltd., inaugurated the company dealer Savira Automobiles’ electric rickshaw showroom on June 27. Mr. Chand Mehta, Chief General Manager (Marketing), and Mr. Aleem Lodi, Marketing Manager, EVD Division, were also present on the occasion. Mr. Gagan Anand and Mr. Abhay Sachdeva of Savira Automobiles, welcomed the guests and Mr. Gupta handed over the key to the first two customers of the e-rickshaw, Mr. Bhagwan Das and Mr. Ramji Lal.

Having developed complete vehicle parts in India, Autopal is shortly launching its electric two-wheelers. It has developed its e-rickshaws suitable for Indian road conditions. The vehicle is indeed cost effective and fit for small villages and towns.

Under the ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ scheme of the Government, the company’s e-rickshaws Hi Power E-Clean (garbage collection vehicle) are operational at Nagar Nigam, Jaipur, for door-to-door collection of garbage.

All these vehicles are designed for higher mileage with long life lead acid battery. Soon the company will be launching e-rickshaws equipped with Lithium Ion Battery and Solar Panel.

The Director also noted that the e-rickshaw can be easily driven by ladies, thus providing opportunities for self employment to women entrepreneurs.

The company is also working with banks and financial institutions for easy availability of loans for the end users.
