AUMOVIO India has achieved a major manufacturing milestone, surpassing 10 million Airbag Control Units (ACUs) produced at its Bengaluru facility. The achievement highlights the company’s growing role in supplying safety-critical electronic systems to leading automotive OEMs in India, while also catering to export markets such as Japan and Korea.

Marking the occasion, the company also inaugurated a new Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) production line and launched its Integrated Safety Control Module (ISCM), signalling a strategic expansion into advanced vehicle safety technologies. These developments reinforce AUMOVIO India’s position as a key hub for next-generation automotive safety systems, particularly for the Asia-Pacific region.
Since starting ACU production in 2016, the Bengaluru facility has steadily scaled up operations over the past decade. The growth reflects increasing demand for advanced safety electronics as vehicles become more sophisticated and safety regulations continue to tighten globally.

A key driver behind this progress has been the company’s transition towards automation. Moving from manual assembly processes to a more automated manufacturing environment has improved efficiency, consistency and output. At the same time, AUMOVIO India has significantly strengthened localisation, with a majority of components now sourced domestically, enhancing supply chain resilience and supporting India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
With the addition of TPMS and ISCM technologies, the company is expanding its product portfolio in line with evolving industry needs. These systems play a critical role in enhancing vehicle safety, offering real-time monitoring and integrated control capabilities that align with the shift towards connected and software-defined vehicles.
Mr. Prashanth Doreswamy, President & CEO – AUMOVIO India, said, “This milestone reflects the steady scale-up of our manufacturing operations over the past decade. Our transition towards increased automation, along with a strong focus on localisation, has enabled us to improve efficiency and build a more resilient supply ecosystem, while continuing to deliver high-quality, safety-critical systems to our customers.”
