The ASP Group is a well-established manufacturer of EPDM rubber weatherstrips. Started in 1989, the group commenced its operations under a joint venture with SAIAG Industria Spa of Italy at Rudrapur, Uttaranchal, for manufacturing EPDM rubber weatherstrips. Later, in 1995, it shifted its operations to a bigger location at Gajraula in Uttar Pradesh.
Overall the strength of the ASP Group companies lies in their strong brand image, widespread distribution network, product range, excellent quality, extensive original equipment coverage, export markets and JIT Systems and technology upgradation.
Today, the group comprises four companies with three business units. ASP Sealing Products Ltd., a group company, has a joint venture with Standard Profile, Turkey, (previously known as Kaufil Sealing Technologies Spain). It serves reputed OEMs such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Volvo-Eicher, Volvo, Mahindra & Mahindra, Force Motors, Scania, Piaggio, TVS Motors, etc.
The other group companies are ASP Thermoplastics, specialising in thermoplastic extrusions, ASP Hoses producing industrial and automotive hoses, ASP Poly Plast turning out industrial crates and plastic items, and RP Syntact Pvt. Ltd.
The group’s quality accreditations include ISO/TS 16949-2009 certification for quality system, OHSAS ISO-18001 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 14001 for Environment Safety, and Indian and international standards such as JASO, ASTM and DIN.
