KPMG in India has announced the election of Mr. Arun M. Kumar as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term beginning February 5, 2017.
Mr. Arun Kumar who succeeds Mr. Richard Rekhy, who led the firm as CEO for over four years, was elected by the KPMG India Board and ratified by the India Partners. The firm executed a well-defined governance process for the selection of the CEO that aligns with the objective of building on its success as well as attracting the best talent available for this role.
Mr. Arun spent a major part of his career with KPMG in the US, including serving on the KPMG US and KPMG Americas Boards from 2008-2013. He led Management Consulting / Finance Management, for the West region of KPMG, the US from 2005 to 2013. He has also served the KPMG’s Global Management Consulting leadership team.
