Anand Group focus on light-weighting, safety, BS-VI and electromobility

The Anand Group’s theme of future-readiness attracted a lot of business visitors including leading OEMs to its stand in Hall 12A. With growing focus on BS-VI and electric technologies, the large conglomerate had all its group companies displaying their versatile range of products.

Explaining about the group’s focus, Mr. V. For example, Mando is showcasing ABS/EBS products which would be commercially rolled out next year. On passive safety, Takata has brought in newer products on seat belts. We also have products for electric vehicles like chargers, DC generators and electric axles from Spicer Dana. With Gabriel, we have some semi-active suspension products and light-weighting improvements. Our primary focus has been on light-weighting, safety, BS-VI and electromobility.”

Far-sighted innovation is a key reason due to which the Anand Group is able to plan its roadmap and adapt to the changes the market presents. “Going forward, both IC engines and electric vehicles will co-exist, at least for a certain period of time. The rate of growth for electric vehicles will however overtake IC engines in the next 7-8 years. This will be more so on buses, two-wheelers and for vehicles that are required for shorter range requirements”, informed Mr. Madhavan.
