ACMA, the apex body representing the interest of the Indian auto component manufacturers, will hold the first edition of the ACMA Aftermarket Expo in Patna on 14th and 15th March 2020 at the Gyan Bhawan, Samrat Ashoka International Convention Centre. The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice, Government of India and Member of Parliament, Patna Sahib. The event is supported by ASDC, the Automotive Skills Development Council.

The first of its kind aftermarket (spare parts) expo in the eastern region will bring together component manufacturers, spare-part sellers, dealers, workshop owners, technicians and mechanics on a common platform. Over 50 leading auto component manufacturers will showcase their latest and best aftermarket products and technologies.

Drive Smart Drive Safe- An NGO for Road Safety under its nationwide campaign of India Against Road Crash will create awareness amongst the public at the expo on the menace of road crashes in India and how to practice Road Safety. For the first time in Patna the Seat Belt Convincer- a mechanical device which makes a person aware of the importance of wearing a seat belt by allowing the seat to come down from an elevation at speed of approximately 20km/ph and halting giving a jerk.

“Travelling on Indian Road is extremely risky & there are many overlapping reasons for such alarming Road Crashes in our country, but one sure solution is #JabHumBadlengeTohDeshBadlega . For masses, Road crash is called an accident & it is yet not seen as act of Science but rather an unfortunate act of God, believing on #NimbuMirchi & #KaaliBilli than acting safe & alert on our Roads. That is the reason we wanted Patna to experience the awareness initiatives and ACMA auto expo provided the right platform” said Rama Shankar Pandey, MD-Hella India Lighting Ltd & President-CWC, Drive Smart-Drive safe.

Another unique attempt to create Road Safety awareness will be through the Road Safety Snake and Ladder game which lets people play the game and through it the importance of wearing seat belts, helmets, distracted driving etc is made aware in a fun way which will be easily grasped by people. A selfie corner will also be present at the Road Safety zone which allows people to become a Road Safety Warrior by clicking themselves along a cut out of the same in the lines of a super hero. A Road Safety Pledge wall will also be kept for people to pledge and sign their commitment towards being safe road users thereby making Indian roads safer.
