Excerpts:

2016 review

2016 was both a challenging and successful year for us as we took over the company AA Trailers from the existing owner, started branding and introducing new varieties of trailers in the Indian market along with the existing AA trailers.

The aim of our management is to take this existing trailer technology of AA Trailers to a different level in order to cater to customers in the domestic market with user-friendly trailers and a versatile range of customized solutions.

Having gained customers’ confidence with our highly engineered and quality products, we added major transporters to our customer list.

Outlook for current year

2017 is likely to be a healthy year for the Indian trailer market. There is certainly a huge opportunity available to be catered to with customer-oriented trailers across different segments.

Impact of Trailer Code and GST

The Trailer Code is the most-awaited regulation that will definitely add benefit to trailer manufacturers and insist the industry to design and manufacturer trailers in adherence to rules & regulations. It will also help customers/transporters to get good quality products with defined specifications that will reduce or eliminate the unorganized trailer manufacturing process.

The Implementation of GST will certainly support and help the organized trailer manufacturers to compete with the unorganized players in the market and attract customers to buy top quality products at competitive prices due to ‘one tax one nation’ concept.

Expectations from the Government

In order to support the trailer industry, the Government needs to curb overloading by installing weigh bridges in all toll plazas throughout the country and ensure rated-load transportation which will help all trailer manufacturers to strictly follow the CMVR & Trailer Code norms for manufacturing trailers for specific applications.

Major plans for current year

During the current year, we plan to introduce couple of new products, namely, trailer with air suspension and lift axle for a medical application and low-bed trailer with tail lift.

Our idea is to introduce air suspension trailer for high-end applications at the most competitive price so that the common transporter can afford to purchase the product and benefit from it.

Key factors for company’s success

We are successful in the market and receiving customer orders because we first analyze the customer requirements and help them in providing well-designed customer-centric trailers to suit their applications at the most competitive price. We are committed to supplying trailers with branded aggregates and ensure the axles, suspension, brake systems, ABS, tyres, wheel rims and steel in our trailers are sourced from reputed makers.

As part of our effort to satisfy customers and meet their expectations, we do value engineering, introduce alternative vendors and keep introducing new technologies by updating our existing technology in order to keep ourselves ahead in the market.

Sales targets

Apart from our existing plant in Mumbai, we have opened our second manufacturing plant in Faridabad and expect to sell around 2,000 units from both plants put together.

We have a plan of expanding to the Eastern Region by the end of 2017 and are targeting achieving a sale of 4,300 units in 2018.
