CII felicitates ‘Top 25 Innovative Companies’

In a spectacular awards ceremony hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry, the apex industry body recognised top 25 companies across large, medium and small segments for their excellence in innovation.

While presenting the awards, Ratan P. Watal, Member Secretary, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Government of India, said that innovation awards is a noteworthy initiative and shall help facilitate in encouraging the industry to develop world-class innovations.

In his address, Prof. K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, highlighted that for true world-class innovation, industry, academia and society must come together and the trio can be facilitated by the government.

To provide impetus to industrial innovations, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Past President, CII and Chairman, CII National Start-Up Council and CII AI Forum, mentioned that innovation should be a movement because there is a need for existing businesses to become world-class. He further elaborated that the rigorous process of CII Industrial Innovation Awards allows the external evaluation of the organisation’s innovation capabilities.

* Top Innovative Company (Large) in Manufacturing: Amara Raja Batteries Ltd., JCB India Ltd., Sterlite Technologies Ltd.

* Top Innovative Company (Medium) in Manufacturing: Fluid Controls (P) Ltd.

* Top Innovative Company (Small) in Manufacturing: Falcoe Motors (P) Ltd.

* Top Innovative Company (Large) in Services: Larsen and Toubro Technology Services.

* Top Innovative Company (Small) in Services: Loocafe, an Ixora Corporate Services Initiative.

* Top Innovative Company (Special Category) in Manufacturing Agricultural Products: Advanta.

* Top Innovative Company (Special Category) in Manufacturing Special Products: Bank Note Press, Dewas (MP), A Unit of SPMCIL, New Delhi.
