TVS Tyres stays ahead

Being part of the 75-year-old Indian tyre industry, TVS Srichakra Ltd., the youngest tyre company in the country, is a leading manufacturer of two & three-wheeler tyres and off-road tyres. Part of the TVS Group with a group turnover of over $8 billion, TVS Srichakra today rolls out over 1.7 million tyres every month out of its two plants, one in Madurai and the other in Rudrapur (Uttarakhand). Incorporated in 1982 the company manufactures and markets its products under the ‘TVS TYRES’ and ‘TVS EUROGRIP’ brands.

Going beyond in-house capabilities, the company follows the practice of subjecting the finished tyre to tough trail test on its own test tracks in Madurai. The company also utilizes the services of an expert Japanese test rider to demonstrate its commitment to put only the best tyre on the roads. New motorcycle tyres launched

TVS-Tyres-Dragon-picThe company recently launched four motorcycle tyres that will suit most of the needs in the two-wheeler segment. They are the Pancer Poly X (MCY rear tyre) best suited for Hero Ignitor and Honda Stunner; ATT 230R for Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, Hondo CBR 150R; Jumbo GT for the Hero Splendour family, Yamaha Crux and TVS Centra; and the Jumbo PT most suited for the Hero Splendour family, Yamaha Crux and TVS Centra.

With an attractive block pattern, the Pancer Poly X provides excellent water drainage while the firm polyester casing provides structural stability at high speed. With a contemporary pattern that provides more rubber contact with the ground, the ATT 230R facilitates excellent road holding, and the optimized profile gives rider confidence during cornering.

The Jumbo GT and Jumbo PT are tyres with bold pattern and wide channeling grooves that provide good traction and grip in varied road conditions.

‘Dragon’ tyre for scooters

Earlier, TVS Srichakra launched ‘Dragon’ tyres in the scooter category. This tyre is most suited for the TVS Scooty Pep family, Bajaj Spirit and LML Trendy and targets customers who expect more from the tyres.

The 3.00-10 Dragon tyre is one of the first in this category to have a rugged block pattern which not only provides excellent grip on all types of roads but also provides higher water channeling in wet condition. The tyre sidewall also sports a special design to give an aesthetic look.
