“We have grown our market share to over 50 per cent in the bus segment since last financial year, mainly driven by JnNurm II where we have been the clear leader in our segment. In the last five years, we have been working towards developing our own products, backed by good service support, and as a result, we have been recommended by many of our STU customers including Haryana Roadways, PUNBUS, BEST and NMMT to others. We got an entry into Ashok Leyland through BEST and also work with Tata Marcopolo”, says Mr. R.K. Mishra, Asst. Manager – Sales, Chemito Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Chemito displays are part of Veera’s new city bus as per the UBS-II standards, while its products were also found in ACGL and SML Isuzu buses displayed at the show. The company works closely with many other STUs and OEMs across the country for non-UBS-II applications as well. It sees growing demand for its new displays for bus stops and plans to introduce a product with wireless functioning for BEST soon. Also in the works are displays with GPS tracker which would be a good solution for applications like school buses.

Operating in a service-critical field, Chemito has done its homework well by establishing a strong service network across the country which it considers as a key differentiating factor in the market. “We hope to maintain our sales this year and expect to grow further next year. We understand the market requirements and have our service teams in different parts of the country to support our customers. Service has always been one of our greatest strengths which is why from 15 locations at present, we will be expanding to nearly 50 locations, hopefully by the end of next financial year”, adds Mr. Mishra.
