At the recently concluded EXCON 2025, Volvo Construction Equipment India made a significant presence showcasing a lineup of advanced, India-centric machines and digital solutions that underline its leadership in shaping the nation’s infrastructure growth. Centred around the theme “Bharosa Har Mod Par – Trust At Every Turn,” the company’s presence reflected a strong focus on reliability, performance, and sustainability for India’s evolving construction and mining landscape.

The star attraction was the all-new EC215 excavator, a Made-in-Bharat medium excavator engineered for India’s diverse working conditions. Building on the success of the EC210, the EC215 extends Volvo’s “Zyada Ka Vaada” promise, offering higher productivity, improved fuel efficiency, and strong uptime across the 20–22T segment—an essential category for the country’s infrastructure build-out.
Adding further strength to its India-focused portfolio, Volvo CE introduced the new SD110 Compactor, designed for long-term durability and high return on investment in road construction. The company also marked a significant milestone in sustainable construction by launching the L120 Electric Wheel Loader, now India’s most advanced electric loader available for commercial use. The showcase concluded with an exclusive pre-launch preview of the EC650, making its India debut and set to redefine heavy-excavation standards for mining and large-scale construction.
Volvo CE India also highlighted its full-service ecosystem, demonstrating solutions that go beyond machinery — from Equipment-as-a-Service and digital monitoring tools to operator development platforms, productivity management systems, and live support services. Together, these offerings help customers maximize fleet efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve lifecycle performance.
Reaffirming its long-term commitment, Volvo CE announced progress on its upcoming Technology Centre in Bengaluru, which will drive R&D, localisation, and product innovation for India and global markets. This investment positions India as a critical engineering hub within Volvo’s worldwide innovation network.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo CE India, said, “EXCON 2025 showcases our commitment to delivering solutions built around real customer needs. The EC215 is a direct response to insights from across India, delivering stronger productivity and improved fuel efficiency. With compactors and electric loaders on display, we are helping customers transition responsibly toward low-emission, cost-effective technologies. Our goal remains clear — to stay aligned with India’s infrastructure ambitions and support them with reliable, future-ready technology.”
