The TII Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy-duty and special transport solutions, has strengthened its presence in India with the inauguration of a new office in Pune for its TII SCHEUERLE brand. The move marks a key milestone in the Group’s India journey, coming a decade after it began operations in the country.
The Pune office will complement the Group’s manufacturing facility in Bawal, near New Delhi, and will function as an additional hub for sales, service and project engineering. Together, the two locations are designed to create a more integrated, responsive and customer-centric operating model for India and select Asian markets.
The new office will be led by Miguel Fernandes, Managing Director of TII India Pvt. Ltd., who also oversees operations at the Bawal plant. This dual responsibility ensures close alignment between engineering, sales, service and manufacturing – spanning the entire project lifecycle from quotation and design through to delivery and commissioning.

“Pune consolidates project engineering, sales and service activities for India and parts of Asia,” said Fernandes. “This enables faster response times, local-language capability and direct customer support – from initial consultation and project planning through to after-sales service.”
From a strategic standpoint, the expansion reinforces the Group’s long-term growth roadmap and its focus on customer proximity in one of the world’s fastest-growing heavy transport markets. Filippo Baldassari, Managing Director of the TII Group, said the new location significantly strengthens the company’s regional operating network. “Bawal continues to produce for global projects, while Pune supports India and parts of Asia as an additional regional hub for engineering, sales and service. Together, they form a strong, complementary network that brings us even closer to our customers.”
Since the establishment of TII India Pvt. Ltd. in 2015, the Group has made sustained investments in its Bawal facility, which manufactures transport solutions for the industrial, energy and infrastructure sectors, along with accessories for heavy and oversized load transportation. The plant is fully integrated into the Group’s global production network and operates to the same quality standards as its German facility in Pfedelbach.
Over the years, the Indian operation has delivered several thousand axle lines for use not only in India but also across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe – underlining India’s growing role in the Group’s global supply and engineering ecosystem.
