Tata AutoComp Wins Third Deming Prize in Two Years, Sets Global Benchmark in Quality Excellence

Tata AutoComp Systems, one of India’s leading automotive component suppliers, has achieved a rare global milestone by winning the prestigious Deming Prize for the third time in just two years. The award recognises organisations that excel in Total Quality Management (TQM) and demonstrate a strong culture of continuous improvement.

The latest honour goes to Tata AutoComp Hendrickson Suspensions Limited (THSL), which has now become the world’s first commercial vehicle suspension system manufacturer to receive the Deming Prize. Earlier, Tata AutoComp’s Composites Division and Tata Ficosa earned the award in 2024, marking a remarkable streak for the company.

Celebrating the achievement, Mr. Arvind Goel, Vice-Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, said that winning three Deming Prizes in such a short span reflects the company’s deep organisational commitment to TQM. “As we expand into new segments, geographies, and technologies, quality management remains our foremost priority. This accomplishment is a testament to our people-driven approach. Every employee has played a crucial role in this journey,” he said, adding that more business units are already preparing to adopt the TQM framework and pursue the award.

Mr. Manoj Kolhatkar, MD & CEO of Tata AutoComp Systems, noted that the Deming Prize reflects the company’s strong focus on customer-centric transformation and sustainable growth. “TQM is a people’s movement, and the award shows how we are enabling a quality mindset across the organisation,” he said.
