SPAL to Unveil Next-Gen Cooling Solutions for Zero-Emission Buses at Busworld Europe 2025

At Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels, SPAL will spotlight its latest range of advanced components for the thermal management of hybrid and electric buses. With forecasts indicating that e-buses will account for 60% of the global fleet by 2030 and 86% by 2050 (Bloomberg), SPAL is positioning itself at the forefront of this transformation with innovative solutions that ensure efficiency, safety, and durability.

Among the highlights are SPAL’s new high-voltage brushless axial fans, available in 850W, 2kW, and 5kW variants. Designed for zero-emission and hybrid vehicles, these 800V fans are software-controlled for dynamic speed adjustment, delivering over 40,000 hours of operation while drawing less energy from the battery. Built to IP68 and IP6K9K safety standards, they are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures (–40°C to +120°C), dust, water, and vibration — making them ideal for both harsh climates and demanding urban operations.

SPAL will also showcase its next-generation coolant pumps in 12V and 24V versions. These smart pumps regulate coolant flow around battery modules, helping maintain optimal temperatures, improve performance, and extend battery life. In addition, their powerful design allows them to replace multiple smaller units, thereby reducing system weight and complexity.

With a comprehensive portfolio spanning fans, blowers, and pumps, SPAL is set to demonstrate how intelligent thermal management can unlock greater efficiency and reliability for tomorrow’s buses. Visitors can explore the full range and engage with SPAL experts at Hall 5, Stand 511 at Busworld Europe 2025.
