Nittan India Doubles Production with Sri City Expansion

Nittan India Tech (NIT) Pvt. Ltd., the Indian arm of Japan’s Nittan Valve Co. Ltd., marked a major milestone with the inauguration of its expanded manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The new facility doubles production capacity from one to two million valves per month, underscoring Nittan’s long-term commitment to India’s growing automotive ecosystem.

Welcoming dignitaries, Mr. Young Oh Ko, Managing Director of NIT, said, “My dream was to build a company that everyone aspires to join—but only the best can. With this new facility, we’ve doubled output, and this is just the beginning. We’ll continue to grow—three million, four million and beyond—ensuring NIT shines for decades.” He thanked Hyundai Motor India, Nittan Group headquarters, and the NIT team for their support.

Mr. Sunder, Vice President of Hyundai Motor India and Chief Guest at the ceremony, commended NIT’s quality excellence, stating that Hyundai’s success is strengthened by trusted partners like Nittan, whose reliable and sustainable components enable consistent production at scale.

Mr. Lee Tai Hwan, President and Representative Director of Nittan Corporation, highlighted that the expansion reflects the Group’s growing confidence in India, driven by local expertise and rising market demand.

Congratulating the NIT team, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, praised the company’s precision and collaboration since its inception in 2014, adding that the expansion “anchors NIT even more deeply in Sri City—where global ambition meets local excellence.”

The expanded facility adds 7,350 sq. m. of built-up area, doubling the existing 3.5-acre footprint to nearly seven acres. With an additional investment of ₹41 crore, Nittan India’s total investment now stands at ₹257 crore. The workforce has also grown from 270 to 370 employees, contributing to local employment and industrial growth.

With the upgraded capacity, Nittan India’s annual output rises from 12 million to 24 million engine valves, catering to leading OEMs including Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars India, Toyota Motor Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, and HMSI. All products are manufactured and marketed within India.
