MapmyIndia Mappls, India’s leading digital maps and deep-tech platform company, has secured two major strategic contracts — with the Survey of India and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) — marking a significant expansion of its presence in government and public-sector digital transformation initiatives.

The partnership with Survey of India positions MapmyIndia Mappls as the technology backbone for the National Geo-Platform, a unified geospatial data infrastructure for the country. Under this engagement, MapmyIndia Mappls will provide its mapping and platform technology to power a national system that standardises, integrates, and disseminates foundational geospatial datasets. The platform will enable seamless sharing of high-precision maps and spatial data — including imagery, elevation models, administrative boundaries, and geodetic datasets — across ministries, academia and industry through APIs, web services and mobile apps.
In a parallel win, MapmyIndia Mappls will deploy an enterprise vehicle tracking and management platform for IOCL’s nationwide LPG logistics fleet. The solution will monitor approximately 23,000 LPG trucks across 150 supply locations, incorporating geofencing, route optimisation, journey risk management, asset monitoring, emergency response and real-time data analytics. The aim is to improve logistics efficiency, prevent pilferage, enhance safety, and optimise running costs.
Mr. Rakesh Verma, Co-founder, Chairman & Managing Director, MapmyIndia Mappls, said, “It is a proud moment for us to provide our tech to two organisations of national importance — Survey of India and IOCL. These alliances are aligned with the government’s vision to open up and decolonize India’s geospatial sector. For India to reach its geospatial industry revenue target of ₹1 lakh crore by 2030, private innovation must work hand-in-hand with government agencies.”
The company currently works with more than 2,000 enterprise customers and has mapped India down to building and address-level detail. Beyond 2D maps, MapmyIndia Mappls is also building 3D, 4D, HD and RealView maps to create a continuously updated digital twin of the real world.
With the Survey of India, IOCL, the ongoing partnership with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and an expected Indian Railways contract, MapmyIndia Mappls is rapidly strengthening its role as a strategic partner for India’s Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat missions.
