Mahindra Group currently holds close to 7% market share in the trucks and buses segment and around 24% in the intermediate and light commercial vehicle (I&LCV) bus category. It aims to expand its overall market share to around 10–12% by FY31 and exceed 20% by FY36.

Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Business (MTB) has strengthened its presence in Karnataka with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art 3S dealership in Hubli. The facility, developed in partnership with Indhu India Motors Pvt Ltd, is equipped with seven service bays and can service more than seven vehicles per day, while also offering a range of customer-focused amenities.
The dealership provides driver lodging facilities, 24-hour breakdown assistance and AdBlue availability, reinforcing Mahindra’s focus on delivering comprehensive after-sales support to commercial vehicle customers.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment and Member of the Group Executive Board, said the new facility reflects Mahindra’s continued efforts to expand its service network and enhance customer experience.
“With the addition of M/s Indhu India Motors Pvt Ltd as a new dealership partner in Karnataka, Mahindra Trucks and Buses and SML together now operate more than 200 3S dealerships and over 400 secondary service touchpoints for trucks and buses across the country,” he said.
Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Mahindra Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment, emphasised that customer-centricity remains central to the company’s strategy. “Our focus on customer needs has driven us to deliver disruptive value propositions, from guaranteed higher mileage across our product range to advanced telematics solutions such as iMAXX that give fleet owners complete visibility and control over their transport operations,” he said.
Mahindra’s commercial vehicle portfolio, including the BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO and JAYO truck ranges, is backed by the company’s double service guarantee programme. Under this initiative, Mahindra promises to return vehicles to the road within 48 hours or compensate customers with ₹1,000 per day, while ensuring a workshop turnaround within 36 hours or offering ₹3,000 per day in compensation.
According to the company, continuous product innovation and a strong focus on customer experience have enabled Mahindra Trucks and Buses to deliver such service commitments, further strengthening its position in the competitive Indian commercial vehicle market.
