JOST India and Hyva India Present Complete Mining and Off-Road Trailer Solutions at Excon 2025

Pradeep Gorur Sheshagiri, MD, JOST India

At Excon 2025, JOST India and Hyva India made a strong joint statement by showcasing a comprehensive product range tailored for India’s growing mining and off-road segments. This marked the first time both companies exhibited together for the Indian off-road industry, presenting a unified package of trailer axles, suspensions and advanced hydraulic tipping solutions.

JOST displayed its complete heavy-duty trailer range, including 13-ton, 14-ton and 16-ton axles along with robust mechanical and air suspensions suited for tip trailers. Hyva complemented this offering with its specialised mining and on-road cylinders, reinforcing the combined value proposition for OEMs and fleet customers.

“We see mining expanding rapidly in India; and together, our combined axles, suspensions and tipping systems offer customers a complete and dependable solution,” said Mr. Pradeep G. S., Managing Director, JOST India. “This package gives us a strong head start as the industry moves to higher capacities.”

Hyva, which already works with leading global OEMs in deep-mining applications, is now witnessing growing demand from Indian OEMs for heavy off-road hydraulic solutions. The company showcased cylinders suitable for small tippers up to 100–130 ton mining dumpers and trailers.

“Indian customers are moving toward higher productivity and better lifecycle cost,” said Mr. Jeffrey Zuidgeest, Managing Director, Hyva India. “Our hydraulic solutions are proven in demanding mining conditions and now support both on-road and off-road segments in India.”

Connected Solutions and Pan-India Service Strengthen Customer Confidence

Lightweight components, telematics, pneumatically operated fifth wheels and trailer ABS are increasingly being requested by Indian fleets. JOST confirmed that fleet owners are seeking connected, safe and efficient systems to improve payload and reduce operating time. Hyva highlighted its digital tipping solutions that help reduce accidents, track performance in real time and minimise downtime.

“Downtime is the biggest cost for any customer; so our products are designed for easy service and long-term reliability,” Mr. Pradeep said. “We actively engage with fleet owners and incorporate their feedback into future design enhancements.”

Service support continues to be a major differentiator. Hyva has a pan-India service network with rapid response capabilities and digital claim management. Both companies now support each other’s service footprint to ensure faster resolutions for customers using the combined JOST–Hyva package.

“We are not trying to be the cheapest; we want to deliver the best performance across the entire lifecycle,” Mr. Zuidgeest added. “With digital solutions and IoT, customers can track usage, maintain equipment better and achieve higher output.”

Together under the JOST umbrella, the two companies plan to expand their portfolio, including hydraulic landing legs and IoT-enabled trailer systems, giving customers a single point of contact for the complete trailer ecosystem.
