JCBL South experienced a significant growth spurt in FY23, showing resilience and agility in a competitive market. “We achieved a growth rate of 22% last fiscal, marking a remarkable year for us. Our growth was driven by both product innovation and increased customer engagement, and we aim to continue building on this trajectory in FY24,” stated Chakroborty.
The company aims to expand its production capacity by over 25% this year, targeting a production output of 5,500 units compared to 4,400 units in FY23. This increase aligns with JCBL South’s vision to serve broader industrial sectors, including infrastructure, mining, and defence. “We’re ramping up our capabilities to handle the surge in demand, particularly as infrastructure projects accelerate. Our expanded capacity is a strategic move to not only meet demand but to ensure we maintain our quality and innovation edge,” Chakroborty added.

A significant focus for JCBL South has been on diversifying its product range beyond tippers to meet the changing needs of the market. The company now manufactures a variety of specialized vehicles and equipment, including tankers, fuel bowsers, specialised containers and defence application trailers, which cater to both commercial and governmental sectors. “The evolution of our product lines is part of a broader strategy to build resilience and meet diverse demands, especially in the growing infrastructure and logistics sectors,” Chakroborty noted. Chakroborty elaborated, “Our work with defence clients has helped us refine our products further. We’re looking to create special application trailers that excel in durability, mobility, and reliability to support defence operations, particularly in challenging environments.”

The company has already secured significant contracts, contributing to the projected revenue growth of 20% in the defence segment.
