Crown Worldwide Group, a global leader in logistics, storage, and records management, has inaugurated its fourth owned facility in India, located in Ramasandra, Bengaluru.
Spread over 76,000 sq. ft. on a seven-acre site, the EDGE-certified green building combines sustainable design, smart systems, and scalable infrastructure, underscoring India’s growing importance in Crown’s global strategy. The country now contributes 10% of Crown’s worldwide revenue and is among its top five markets.
The inauguration ceremony was led by global leadership, including Mr. Jim Thompson, Founder and Chairman; Ms. Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO; Mr. Tze Shen Kong, Asia CEO; and Mr. Srinivas Krishnan, Managing Director – South Asia, reflecting the importance of India in Crown’s future growth plans. “Marking this milestone in the same year as Crown’s 60th anniversary makes it even more special,” Mr. Thompson said.
Designed primarily for information management, the facility features over 57,000 sq. ft. of space with multi-tier racks capable of storing more than 900,000 cartons. It is equipped with barcode traceability, secure destruction zones, and evacuation-ready layouts. Dedicated zones for Crown Workspace and Crown Relocations manage furniture, fittings, personal effects, and specialised equipment with secure circulation areas and inventory systems.
Future-ready services will include bonded warehousing, cold storage for healthcare and perishables, temperature-controlled wine and spirit storage, and Crown Fine Art’s secure chambers for artworks and cultural treasures.
Sustainability is at the core, with landscaped frontage, a glass dome façade for natural light, and 43% of the site reserved for greenery. The building’s automated management system integrates fire safety, security, flood detection, and energy monitoring. Advanced digital infrastructure supports real-time monitoring, energy and water management, and long-term efficiency.
“India is one of the fastest-growing markets for our clients, and for Crown,” said Ms. Harvey. “This facility positions us to deliver next-generation storage and information management solutions.”
Mr. Kong added that Bengaluru strengthens Crown’s regional footprint, while Mr. Krishnan said the project lays a strong foundation for future growth and reinforces India’s long-term importance in Crown’s global journey.
