BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new-energy vehicles and power batteries, is introducing the new BYD eBus B12.b HF, BYD eBus B12.b LE and BYD eBus B18.b at Busworld Europe 2025. BYD showcases the three new models alongside the full range of zero-emissions vehicles at the event in Brussels Expo on the BYD Stand 605B in Hall 6.

BYD is a trusted pioneer in the European electric bus sector, and leverages more than a decade of proven success, technical innovation and customer satisfaction. The company remains steadfastly committed to delivering best-in-class, cutting-edge zero-emission electric buses. The vehicles and the technological solutions produced by BYD play a strategic role in accelerating the transformation of European public transportation through sustainable electrification solutions. Already today there are more than 5,000 BYD eBuses on Europe’s roads, operating in over 160 cities in 26 European countries. Of these, more than 1,000 were produced at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Komárom, Hungary.
Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, said: “We’re proud and excited to be showcasing our latest products and technologies at Busworld Europe. The innovations of our latest eBus models, along with our expansion of European production and servicing support, demonstrate our commitment to the acceleration of sustainable public-transport solutions in this region.”
All-new 12-meter High Floor offers up to 650km range and 520kW dual-gun or pantograph charging
Powered by BYD’s self-developed, ultra-safe Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery technology, and unlocking all the advantages of the brand’s proprietary eBus Platform 3.0, the BYD eBus B12.b HF empowers European bus-fleet operators with exemplary safety, energy efficiency, performance and passenger comfort.
The High Floor construction of the B12.b HF ensures a spacious 5.7 m³ cargo area, which easily accommodates up to 121 20-inch suitcases. The B12.b HF also sets new standards in driver comfort, technology and features to ensure ease of operation. Robustly proven Advanced Driver Assistance Systems optimize safety, even in the most challenging terrain and weather conditions. Designed and engineered for a broad range of operational parameters, including commuting, intercity, and tourism, the B12.b HF is offered with a maximum battery capacity of 495kWh. An all-electric range of up to 650km and 520kW dual-gun or pantograph charging further bolster the effortless-to-operate and easy-to-maintain, eco-friendly mass mobility package.
The new pure-electric B18.b 18-metre articulated bus offers seating for up to 146 passengers, up to 630km of range and the option of all-wheel drive capability
By leveraging the advantages of BYD Blade Battery in Chassis technology to the full, the B18.b sets a new benchmark in the 18-metre city bus segment. The high energy density enables a maximum capacity of up to 746kWh, which delivers a range of up to 630km.
In response to customer demands for greater performance and enhanced traction and control, the optional four-wheel drive system enables the B18.b to handle steeper slopes and makes it easier and safer to drive in rain, snow, and ice, and on poor road surfaces.
On tight city streets, the uprated articulated disc system’s fourth-generation control unit and enhanced hydraulic damping technology significantly enhance stability during cornering. An improved regenerative braking system provides effective braking even during prolonged downhill driving with a fully charged battery, helping to keep the friction brakes cooler and reducing wear.
BYD deepens European localization with expanded manufacturing and service footprint, including first dedicated OEM battery-systems workshop in the UK
BYD is deepening localization across Europe—spanning manufacturing, service and product customization. Following the expansion of its electric-bus factory in Hungary, annual capacity will exceed 1,000 units and create hundreds of local jobs. BYD operates more than 100 service sites across 15 European countries and has opened a first dedicated OEM-run battery service center in the UK, with more similar facilities planned. This end-to-end European footprint strengthens uptime, lowers total cost of ownership, and delivers solutions engineered for European customers.
