Logix ITS, one of the global leaders in traffic and parking solutions across the world, is drawing a blueprint to deploy Intelligent Traffic and Parking Solutions at various prominent locations in India. The Indian arm of the Logix Group has already installed the country’s first ever speed radar signs at Delhi Airport & JLN Marg, Jaipur. The company, which began operating in the country since January this year, have also rolled out speed cameras, which will enable the regulating authorities to track violators and capture license plates of vehicles (both commercial and passenger) for further enforcement. Also our parking solutions are the cheapest and smartest among our peers. Some of the key solutions offered by Logix ITS India include SafePace speed radar signs, which help to track vehicle speed and alert drivers to encourage them to slow down. The signs include the ability to gather and analyze data such as how many cars have passed at what speed and what time. This data can be an invaluable input for ascertaining as to when and where speeding is a concern. Our Parking solutions include the OpenSpace solution, which lets drivers know when and where parking spots are available to avoid needless circling in the search for parking spots. Furthermore, we will also be making in India once volumes justify.

What are your long-term business goals in India?

With the thrust on smart cities by the government of India, there is a dire need for advanced traffic safety and parking solutions here. We can cater to those requirements as we are into integrated transport systems, which are vital tools to improve driver awareness, enforce speed limits, and help cities gather and manage data on driver behaviour. The reason why we came to India is because we want to make a change here. Among the suite of solutions, Radar Speed Signs would be our flagship product and we are working towards its awareness and enforcement.

What is your future course of action and new rollouts in India?

We recently launched our latest model of speed cameras in India christened ‘SP CAM-500’. It is the best-in-class quality camera and available at affordable prices compared to any other competitor in the market. These speed cameras work on 16 beam laser technology to measure speed of vehicles. In event of speed violation its ANPR/LPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) automatically registers the license plate and sends automatic challans/tickets to violators. We will also shortly launch ‘Wrong Lane Detection System’, which in road-transport terminology is also known as ‘Lane Departure Warning System’ and is a mechanism designed to warn the driver when the vehicle begins to move out of its lane (unless a turn signal is on in that direction) on highways and arterial roads. These systems, which are the ideal fit for the Indian market, are designed to minimize accidents by addressing the main causes of collisions: driver error, distractions and drowsiness. It would be of great help if the State Governments mandate lane departure warning systems on automobiles. Our vision is to make Indian roads safer and contribute to make lives better.
