Unitized double row taper roller bearings & wheel hub unit

One of the most enduring and demanding segments is the wheel bearings and wheel end hub units wherein Texspin has designed and developed a unique and niche generation 2 type wheel hub unit with unitized double row taper roller bearing for the commercial vehicle, utility vehicle and the off-road segment, which eliminates the basic design deficiencies in the conventional arrangement and offers a maintenance-free solution.

The current wheel end design in most of the commercial vehicles, off road vehicles and in many SUV consists of two independent taper roller bearings which has some very distinct disadvantage in terms of misalignment & preload, sealing, quality & quantity of lubricants and periodic maintenance.

Texspin, through its years of R&D efforts, has developed a technically superior and efficient unitized double row taper roller wheel end hub bearing which not only eliminates the above disadvantages but ensure some distinct advantages such as:

• Feature-packed single piece unitized double row taper roller bearing which eliminates the possibility of misalignment and the need for preloading

• The unitized bearing comes with unique sealing arrangement on both sides which totally eliminates the possibilities of external contamination

The unitized double row taper roller bearing and the wheel hub units undergo rigorous testing and validation at the Texspin testing and validation centre before being offered to the customers. Further, Texspin uses modern soft validation techniques using advanced software to analyse and validate the product design. The unitized bearing and the hub units undergo four levels of rigorous rig test to ensure comprehensive validation of the product consisting of endurance testing, road simulation test, mud bath test and seal effectiveness test.

Multi-cone synchronizer systems & intermediate rings

Constant improvements in the engine and clutch performance has meant significant increases in transmission torques which places ever-increasing demand on automotive transmissions and their components for optimized design and highest functional reliability. Texspin has put in years of research and has developed a niche solution for one of the most important and challenging components in a transmission, i.e., synchronizer sets and synchronizer intermediate rings which are highly engineered to meet the ever-demanding application requirement of a transmission.

The conventional triple cone synchronizer arrangement consists of brass or bronze inner and outer cone with steel intermediate ring. Texspin has developed a highly efficient synchronizer sets in all steel combination with carbon lined intermediate ring which ensure longer life, lower weight and optimized cost. It manufactures these intermediate rings both through the forged and stamped routes. It can also provide the rings with specialized woven carbon fiber lining and offer this product across all segments starting from the small car to the heavy commercial vehicle.

Detent pins for automotive transmission

The Detent Pins in a gearshift system fulfill the primary requirement of optimum gearshift behaviour and the gearshift feel experienced by the driver and ensures that the transmission performs efficiently and gives the right comfort to the driver. Texspin has put in years of R&D efforts to provide an unmatched technological solution for the ball detents by deploying a very high degree of engineering and one of the finest precision manufacturing technologies to be the only Indian company offering this extremely precision and critical component to the Indian automotive industry.

Texspin manufactures a unique proprietary ball detent design which ensures extremely smooth operation of the gear shift lever. It provides ball detents in both sheet metal and forged design and in varying sizes to meet the requirement of the passenger car and the commercial vehicle segments. These highly engineered and extremely precision manufactured parts offer a number of unique features which enhances the performance of the gear shift system.

Upcoming plant

In order to accommodate all these and various new technologies, Texspin is in the process of building a brand new plant adjacent to the present one, around 7 km away, with a build-up area of 46,000 sq. m. This plant will incorporate further expansion into the present product segment production capacities as well as adding new product capacities with state-of-the-art facilities.

Texspin is also looking at doubling its production capacities in the next 3-4 years, for which it is in the process of installing ultra-modern machinery lines and infrastructure to support this endeavor.
