Henkel sure of robust growth in FY17

Henkel Adhesive Technologies India Private Ltd., a subsidiary of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA of Germany, is the market leader in adhesives, sealants and surface treatments. Henkel’s adhesive products provide solutions for a whole spectrum from manufacturing anaerobic adhesives, cyanoacrylate adhesives, silicone sealants, polymer composites, solvent-based, solvent free to cold seal laminating adhesives used in diverse segments ranging from electronics, automotive, manufacturing, aerospace to biomedical industries.

Henkel-Anand India Pvt. Ltd., a JV between Henkel KGaA of Germany and the Anand Group of India, is a leading manufacturer of structural adhesives, sealants, NVH pillar parts as well as glazing adhesives for bonding of windscreens, supplying to almost all major automotive OEMs in the country.

Talking on the recent developments at the company, Mr. Viraj Kadam, Chief Operating Officer, Henkel Anand India Pvt. Ltd., says: “Henkel has automotive and metal businesses in India with eight steering units across the country, of which six are in the automotive area and two are taken care of by Henkel Anand. At Auto Expo this year, we showcased our acoustical structural solutions for major automotive OEMs. With new norms coming up for cars, particularly the smaller ones which do not meet the crash safety norms, our job is to offer solutions using our technology to support OEMs to meet these norms.”

Sharing details about Henkel Anand’s contribution to the CV industry, Mr. Kadam says: “The CV segment is gaining importance, and the bus segment, in particular, is doing quite well and has started showing positive signs. With the launch of new vehicles in the market and driver comfort gaining importance, the OEMs are quite interested in our solutions. We have a significant presence in the bus segment and are already working with major OEMs and also with many reputed bus body builders.”

Henkel Anand registered robust growth in 2015-16 and hopes to continue its good run in FY17. “Our strong growth has been possible due to our ability to work with OEMs and come up with new solutions. Henkel has its strategic advantage of being a global company which enables us to explore new areas and solutions. We aim to grow at double the market pace in the new financial year”, he adds.
