Ashok Leyland has announced the appointment of Mr. Sanjay Saraswat as the Senior Vice President & Head of Global Buses.
Mr. Saraswat joins Ashok Leyland with close to 30 years of experience across Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Network Development and Marketing. A Mechanical Engineer from IIT Delhi, he replaces Mr. T. Venkataraman who retired in October 2017, and will report to Mr. Vinod Dasari, Managing Director.

Mr. Saraswat joins Ashok Leyland from Bajaj Auto Ltd., Pune, where he was the Vice President for Sales Operations and was heading Sales Planning, Field Service, Service Planning, Network Development, Logistics, and Special Projects. He has had extensive exposure and significant learning across functions in Bajaj Auto where he joined as a graduate engineer trainee in 1988.
