Utilizing the platform to reach out to a wider audience in India, Galaxy Bearings showcased its new generation taper roller bearings that it supplies to axle manufacturers and OEMs abroad. “We have developed next generation taper roller bearings for European brands like, Volvo, Scania, DAF and MAN”, said Mr. Nitin Santoki, CEO, Galaxy Bearings.
In the last few years, the focus on quality, durability of products has gone up substantially and considering the extreme operating conditions that the commercial vehicles operate in, the market has seen the introduction of polyamide retainers in many bearings with high temperature engineering plastic in place of steel retainers. “We have our concept defined and strategy in place when it comes to improving the quality of taper rollers we produce. We have invested in a high-end facility with endurance testing that certifies the longevity of our products”, added Mr. Santoki.
The company which gains 75 per cent of its revenues from exports is planning to expand in the domestic market due to the growing acceptance of its high performance quality taper roller bearings. “We have the capacity to produce 3,00,000 taper roller bearings per year and are expanding up to 5,50,000 bearings per year. With BS-VI emission norms, the new generation pre-set taper roller bearings will be in huge demand in India. European brands coming to India as well as Indian customers will not have to use grease or any other add-on, but just fit and forget our bearings which come with a 1 million km warranty,” beamed the CEO.
