Mr. P. S. Ramesh, Marketing Manager – Bustec Infosystems India, shared: “We are an ISO certified company in India where we offer good products that boast of European technology meeting global standards of quality. Our LED destination boards with passenger information systems are approved by ARAI UBS-II specifications and are IP66 certified. India acts as the gateway to our business in South East Asia because eventually we would like to export from India to this region.”

Bustec products last long and are available with multi-color display options with high durability and low power consumption.

He added: “We offer 10-year warranty because in India nowadays buses last that long.”

Mainly focused on Karnataka currently, Bustec is looking at targeting other state transportation undertakings (STUs) because of their sheer numbers.

He said: “In India, almost 20,000 buses are replaced every year by the STUs. And there are few organised players in our segment who are providing this kind of technology. For us, India is a crucial market not solely because of the emerging electric vehicles scenario. Even with the electric bus or for that matter, any other bus too, the awareness to use LED information systems is on the rise and we see a great business avenue opening up for our company in India. This service is only bound to grow in the near future.”

Since the power consumption of Bustec LEDs is less, it contributes to extending the life of the battery of the EVs. Considering the EV boom in the country, Bustec is eagerly looking to see faster growth in its Indian business in the next few years.

Apart from reaching out to the STUs, the company is also sharpening its focus on capturing business from OEMs. Bustec considers the robust working life of its products and its capability to provide reliable service backup across the country as its main USPs.
