Volvo Buses unveil new BS IV range for Indian market

Volvo Buses unveiled new intercity coach range at the Busworld 2016 in Bengaluru on November 10. Volvo 9400 range comprises of the 12.0m coach with a new 8 litre engine. Interestingly, the new engine is developed with VECV at its Pithampur facility. The other Volvo 9400 13.8m multi-axle coach has an upgraded engine from 9 to 11 litres, while the 14.5m coach is an upgradation to meet BS VI emission regulations. The new range underscores Volvo’s localization strategy and promises increased efficiency in meeting growing passenger demands.

Undisputed leadership continues

The new range answers the increase in demand for intercity buses that promote efficiency and safe mobility.

Volvo Buses will manufacture the new range at its Hosakote facility in Bengaluru, right from the assembly of chassis to rolling out of complete buses. This facility follows Volvo Bus Production Systems that are implemented in all Volvo manufacturing sites across the world.
