Fasching to commence seat belt production in India by 2018

Fasching Salzburg GmbH is a leading supplier of safety seat belts for coaches, buses and LCVs worldwide. It is also in search for a suitable partner in the country and is encouraged with things moving in the right direction.

Revealing company plans, Mr. Harald Pessl, Sales Director and Authorized Officer, Fasching Salzburg GmbH, says: “Fasching is actively present in the Indian market for over six years now. It is obvious that we are watching this important market carefully and that we want to make a big step forward by setting up a production facility with highest level of localization in India for our safety belts. Our goal is to have a local production, sell our safety products with competitive price and highest quality with best support for our customers particularly in the commercial vehicle business and customized products for the military segment. Our production facility should be implemented and completed by mid of 2018, so that the full production will start in the second half of 2018.”

Fasching aims to achieve its goals by partnering an experienced local company and seems to have found the right one. The seat belt manufacturer has already completed its market analysis and is now exploring the possibility of forming a joint venture. “After signing the relevant documents and agreements, which should be fixed within the next 4 to 6 months. We are positive to set up the complete production facility, assembling lines as well as the production of all tools for our products within the next 8 to 12 months which includes training of people”, adds Mr. Pessl.

Fasching’s prime focus is to have a good start in 2018, build on it and become a major player in the commercial vehicle segment in India and other neighboring countries. The company aims to enhance passenger safety in private, public and commercial vehicles by working closely with the Ministry of Transport and all relevant institutes in order to achieve these important goals for comfort and safety.
