Delhi Contract Bus Association honors AIMTC President

The Delhi Contract Bus Association (DCBA), an apex body of contract carriage and tourist bus operators in NCR, organised a special ceremony in New Delhi on May 17 to honor Mr. Bhim Wadhwa, National President of AIMTC. Apart from 250 tourist bus & truck operators, the function was graced by several industry leaders associated with the transport industry.

Also honored on the occasion were Mr. Ravinder Soni, ACP (Traffic), Delhi Police, and Mr. J.L. Khanna, Director, Jaipur Golden, for their meritorious services in their respective field.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bhim Wadhwa assured the bus operators of issuance of national permits by MoRTH at the earliest. He also shared his views with the operators on the increasing operational cost of commercial vehicles, and appealed to all of them to act in unison in the interest of the trade.

In his address, Mr. Harish Sabharwal, Gen. Secy. of DCBA, referred to the special contribution of Mr. Ravinder Soni in traffic management and for working out policies for smooth traffic movement in the capital, for which he has already received the President Award on the last Republic Day.

In his address, Mr. Bhim Wadhwa praised the long association of Mr. Harish Sabharwal with AIMTC, and made him the Chairman of the Bus-Committee for  2014-16.

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Naveen Gupta, General Secretary, AIMTC, was specially honored by the heads of associations present at the ceremony.
