Ashok Leyland unleashes four new next-gen products

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, and one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, took the covers off four all-new next-generation technology products at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. It also displayed a variant of its ever popular DOST.

Inspired by the ‘Made in India’, the 4940 Euro VI truck is built to exacting standards, using latest engineering and technological knowledge and meets the strict Euro VI emission norms. These norms demand a dramatic reduction in NOx and particulate matter, as low as one-tenth compared to existing Euro III. Achieving these norms requires a significant leap in technological capability and a strong dose of Indian ingenuity. The 4940 Euro 6 truck does this using Indian innovation and offers world-class norms at Indian costs. Further, it incorporates i-ALERT, state-of-the-art tracking software, through which parents can monitor their child’s movements and location, on a real-time basis. Embedded software will provide parents with pick-up and drop off alerts, while school operators can use the system to monitor well-being of children inside the bus and also track the health of the vehicle.
