‘Fresh-only’ transport solution for Indian market
Carrier Transicold has launched its new CITIFRESH range of truck refrigeration units for the Indian market. These ‘fresh-only’ units are designed to meet the growing demand in India for transportation of fruits, vegetables, dairy and confectionary products using longer refrigerated trucks. The new range is ideal for transporting chilled products on medium to large commercial vehicles with a loading capacity of 16 to 55 cubic metres.
The CITIFRESH unit which can handle a broad chilled temperature range of +4 degrees Celsius to +22 degrees Celsius, operates in tandem with the truck engine and provides a high airflow of 2,200 m3/hr, crucial for proper air circulation.
The CITIFRESH unit has a robust design and a stainless steel evaporator specially suited for demanding applications such as in high ambient Indian conditions (up to 50 degrees Celsius), and is easy to install and maintain. It delivers exceptional value by virtue of its low initial cost and lower maintenance and operational costs. A dashboard-mounted DIN controller also is easy to use.
The CITIFRESH 500, the first unit within the CITIFRESH range, uses non-ozone-depleting refrigerant R134a, delivering refrigeration capacity up to 4500 watts in high ambient temperatures. It uses a larger, 210cc high efficiency compressor.
