Having gained product approvals from  global majors like Volvo, Scania, Daimler, MAN, Cummins and MTU, ZOOMOL has emerged as one of the fastest growing lubricant brands  and plans to make further inroads in the coming years, with  specific focus on the construction and mining  segments. The company is happy with the way things have moved in 2015 and looks at the new year with optimism and excitement.

Says Mr. Vinit S. Asher, Director, Raj Petro Specialities Pvt. Ltd.: “Since many of our OEM and large customers, including road-building contractors, mine owners and fleet operators, were planning to visit at EXCON, we thought it would be a good opportunity for us to participate. We have established our presence in the infrastructure and mining segments, which are our key focus areas, and we will continue to strengthen our products and offerings for these segments in the coming years. The year 2015 was a positive one for the industry, thanks to the Government reforms coming in. Our team has put in a lot of effort in the past few years, following which we expect to grow by leaps and bounds in 2016. We are very optimistic and excited about our business prospects in the new year.”

ZOOMOL’s confidence and optimism comes from its knowhow on developing new products, a sound understanding of the Indian market and its in-house technological capabilities, coming at a time when the market is slowly but surely moving towards high performance with higher reliability of vehicles. “We have been working on developing the premium products for the infrastructure and mining segments during the last three years. These segments are undergoing major changes with the entry of global OEMs, new engine technologies, tightening emission norms and the increasing customer demand for lowering the Total Cost of Operations. We are quite ready and feel that we are at the right place at the right time. Our aim is to make ZOOMOL a brand of choice for customers who are looking for high performance fluids”, states Mr. N.C. Sekharan, Vice President – Direct Business, Raj Petro Specialities Pvt. Ltd.

Despite stiff competition from a number of strong multinational brands and reputed Indian brands in the segment, ZOOMOL feels its capabilities in the domestic arena would prove decisive in the long run. “Our competitors are definitely a force to reckon with and have been around for a long time, but the primary difference comes from our large capacities. The large volume of high quality base oil imports that the company has been doing in the last few years gives us a good leverage to source the right quality base oils for the Indian market. Another important factor is our blending capacity, distributed across our three plants at Silvassa, Chennai and Ankleshwar, which gives us the advantage to blend and deliver products at competitive costs and faster than many of our competitors. We are ready to face the future challenges”, signs off Mr. Sekharan.
