Shriram Automall India Ltd. (SAMIL), an ISO-certified company with AA rating from CRISIL, has launched a new facility at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Spread across nearly 10 acres of land, the new facility promises regular bidding events every month in which people can participate after a simple and convenient registration process. It will offer the widest range of pre-owned vehicles and a transparent bidding platform to deal in them.

SAMIL has now 17 well-structured Automalls in south India. Shriram Automall Kurnool is strategically located near a railway godown and Dual-Tyre HGVs Association to generate maximum footfall at the bidding events. With more agricultural land around the location and complete rural connectivity, it is ready to meet the growing pre-owned tractor demand of the city. Moreover, there is heavy demand for both light and heavy commercial vehicles, for which SAMIL has already formulated a well-planned collection of pre-owned vehicles for display at the bidding events.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sameer Malhotra, CEO, SAMIL, stated: “Kurnool, as a marketplace, has great demand for pre-owned vehicles and equipment. With Shriram Automall Kurnool, we aim at bridging the gap between buyers and sellers through our transparent bidding platforms. The idea is to become the largest organised player for pre-owned vehicles and equipment in India. It is SAMIL’s 45th Automall launch in the country, and we have lined up three more launches in February, two in south India and one in east India”.

Mr. Malhotra also attended the inaugural function along with Mr. Sudarshan Holla, Executive Director & CEO – South Zone, Shriram Transport Finance Company (STFC).

The Automall launch also marked a major update in the Education Scholarship Programme of the company. Around 150 cheques were distributed by Mr. Satya Narayana Murthi, Regional Transport Officer, Mr. Suprakash, District Education Officer, and Mr. B. Vilson, Deputy Superindent of Police – DSP Vigilance. Numerous privileged bidder cards were also distributed at the inaugural function.

Kurnool Automall also houses a one-stop classified kiosk and Shriram NewLook Refurbishment facility. It is a collection of the entire available inventory at SAMIL, pan-India, and is a virtual box with huge data bank of information on pre-owned vehicles and equipment that can be acquired through SAMIL. The facility will provide repair of vehicles through well-trained staff with all the expertise in hand.

Post inauguration, the Automall was thrown open for a live physical bidding event in which over 100 pre-owned vehicles were displayed, most of which were disposed of successfully. Over 400 bidders who participated in the event came from nearby locations, including Gadwal, Nandyal, Anantapur and Bethamcherla.

A one-stop destination for pre-owned vehicles and equipment, the Kurnool Automall has a huge potential to make their exchange hassle-free and beneficial for the customers. Various allied services like secured parking space, quick documentation and easy finance will add value to the overall bidding experience. Customers will also get an opportunity to physically inspect the vehicles two days prior to bidding.
