Sah Petroleums indigenous technology well accepted all over

Sah Petroleums Ltd. (SPL), a prominent manufacturer of industrial and automotive lubricants in India, produces specialty oils and process oils under the brand name ‘IPOL’ at its Vasai and Daman plants.

IPOL covers the widest range of Industrial and Automotive lubricants for meeting the needs of various types of industries be it Automotive, Steel, Engineering, etc. The company products have been well received by major vehicle OEMs in India. Its broad range of bio-stable grades of cutting oil produced under the brand name IPOL Biocut is also very popular.

Commenting on the company’s product portfolio and its future plans, Mr. Farooque Warsi, Sr. General Manager – Marketing, Sah Petroleums, told MOTORINDIA: “We have been in the lubricant business for quite some time. The last five years our engineering team has been working with metal working products like cutting oils rust preventives, quenching oils and cleaners. All these products have been well appreciated by our customers globally. We can proudly say that our soluble cutting oil, Aquacut-125, is one of the largest selling products. The  product, a multi-purpose water soluble coolant at that, is 100 per cent developed in-house by our R&D team, and it has wide applications, including in the automotive industry.” 

He also said Sah Petroleums has been putting in great efforts to stay close to its customers.

Sah Petroleums recorded a turnover of Rs. 450 crores in 2013-14, of which nearly 65 per cent of business was from the automobile sector. “We have expanded the capacities of our existing plants. At present our Vasai and Daman plants have been working almost to full capacity of 80,000 kl per annum. As our brand grows along with the market, the management is seriously considering a further expansion to meet the growing demand. Since our metal working products have been doing very well, we would be focusing on such products in the future”, added Mr. Warsi.
