Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mohan Kumar said: “Service is the future of the truck and bus tyre industry. Customers need quick overall services that enhance operational efficiency of the vehicle. As for Michelin, the company is focused on its strategy to be a key participant in the radialization of the Indian truck and bus tyre segment. As we expand our MTSC network in the country, we aim to reach out to our customers and educate them on choosing the right radial tyre. This is important for us as radicalization delivers fuel efficiency, safety and longevity and helping lower the fleet owner’s costs. The new MTSC is well-positioned to offer peace of mind to transporters and fleet owners, knowing full well that they can obtain professional service, using state-of-the-art equipment and world-class products along their route.”

Mr. Praveen Jain, Owner, Sushil Truck and Bus Wheel Care, said: “We are pleased to associate ourselves with Michelin Tyres. It is a new concept in the truck and bus tyre segment where sales and service is available to the end-user under a single roof. Mostly this concept is prevalent in European countries where trucks and buses are not allowed to enter city. And this type of new tyres and services are located outside the city limits. It is the first-of-its-kind in the newly-formed Telangana State. There is no such facility available in Andhra Pradesh.”

Located in one of the key transportation hubs in the country, the new MTSC covers an area of 3,400 sq. yards, which is probably one of the largest in India. The one-stop shop is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including computerized truck tyre alignment, balancing and repair machines, as well as end-to-end tyre-related services for trucks.

The company will open another three such facilities at three different localities in the city by the year-end.

MTSC helps consumers reduce maintenance costs and optimize benefits from Michelin radial tyres. The opening of MTSC will ensure easier availability of Michelin products and services in the automobile hub of the city at Bachupally and will help to meet the soaring demand for Michelin radial tyres.

MTSC has a dedicated workshop area, showroom, service rooms, staff quarters, etc. The showroom will be equipped with advanced machinery, including an alignment machine, balancing machine, tyre repair facility, customer waiting area, etc., an exercise undertaken by Michelin for all its MTSC outlets. “This is an internationally successful format, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, and we see it growing in India too”, added Mr. Jain.

He also observed: “We are also offering yet another novel and first-of-its-kind service – Michelin Truck Service Network (MTSN) – which is a mobile alignment van providing customers truck and bus alignment at their doorstep. It also enables us to provide the best possible tyre-related services using the latest machinery and well-trained staff.”
